CREATION OF A PROFILE
The initial screen is entitled “The Basics.” As with the registration process, the page is presented in a clean and uncluttered design, the text boxes blue against a white background, with straightforward options firstly enquiring whether you are interested in Men, Women or Men or Women. A progress bar along the top of each page tracks your progress as you proceed through the questions. Following the gender options, you are asked about your status – single, separated, divorced, widowed, in a relationship, engaged or married.
The next of the profile questions is about your faith tradition, with 16 options covering all the main Christian institutions, from Anglican to Quaker, with the catchall category of Christian also included. Given that individual faith is increasingly more fluid than rigid in nature, the site also offers headings for “Alternative Worship”, ”Liberal”, and “New Churches”, as well as ”Other” or “Prefer not to say”. Once your faith has been established, the next category is ethnic background.
Following these basic questions, the next part of your dating profile invites you to describe your personality, the aspects which make you unique. Once you have submitted these details, you have the opportunity to upload a profile photo, before continuing with the profile – occupation, life & work, your faith (how your religion is important, how the Bible has influenced your path). The final question gives you the chance to outline what you are passionate about.
The process of registration and profile creation is all very straightforward and unambiguous and is readily completed in 20 minutes or so.
