The registration was a simple and incredibly quick process (especially when compared to the creation of your profile). When you sign up you are asked to provide your ZIP code, your email address and then you are asked to create a password. It is simple and you do not have to jump through hoops just to get registered. As well as the site you also have the option of the mobile app, although I would recommend that you register on the actual website as you get all of the information before you have to do anything. The member login on the app is simple and straightforward and seems to respond and load quite quickly. And if you want to sign out then the mobile login is super easy when you want to get back in, even if you’re out and about. And that’s it! You have now registered to CompatiblePartners.net and all there is to do now is to create your profile…
Now here is one of the biggest downfalls of the site, the creation of your profile. As previously mentioned earlier the process to create your dating profile is an incredibly lengthy process and will take a good 10 to 15 minutes depending on how quickly you power through it. Now whilst 15 minutes doesn’t sound like a long time you will definitely notice it when you come to do it, as the questions are very repetitive and can become pretty mundane. It starts by asking profile questions such as marital status, if you have any children and then what city you live in. From there you are asked how well certain words describe you, and they show you 34 words! And they do this two more times. Thus it’s inducing this bored and irritated feeling at the back of your mind. Once you have answered these questions you can then upload a photo of yourself and fill in some extra details on your dating profile if you wish. So to create a profile you do have to jump through a couple of hoops, but it definitely seems to be worth it in the long run as you do get handpicked matches with detailed statistics on why you two have been put together.
So the pricing plans are quite vital when looking at this site as to successfully meet anyone or interact in any way with your matches you need to pay for some sort of upgraded plan on their site.
Free features on the site include:
creation of profile
uploading of photos
viewing matches
sending smiley faces
sending computer automated questions
sending computer automated responses to those questions
viewing messages
receiving new matches every day
seeing your matches’ name, age and location
seeing activity on your profile
So you are pretty limited with the free account features if you do want to get to know anyone, as whilst they do include a lot of things you cannot actually have proper conversations with people or see their faces. Now the site offers two membership options which are Standard and Premium. The standard is the basic plan and entitles you to (including the features of the free account):
See who has viewed you
Send and receive unlimited messages
See match photos
Browse matches outside your preferences
The pricing for the basic plan comes in three options (at the time this review was written, prices may vary):
1.$12.95 a month billed in 3 instalments of $25.90 for a 6-month plan
2.$10.95 a month for 12 months
3.$20.95 a month for 3 months
Now the premium plan entitles you to: (free account features included)
See who has viewed you
Send and receive unlimited messages
See match photos
See who’s favorited you
Browse matches outside your preferences
Browse matches anonymously
Get read receipts on all of your messages
Be a featured match for 24 hours every month
Unlike the basic plan this comes in 2 possible pricing plans (at the time this review was written, prices may vary):
1.$14.95 a month for 12 months
2.$25.95 a month for 3 months
So there’s no denying that the pricing plans for both the basic and premium plan are quite expensive, unfortunately it is a necessity if you wish to use the site seriously to find a match.
If you are wondering how to search on CompatiblePartners.net I’m afraid you are about to be disappointed as the search options are limited to only the people you have matched with and no further. So how to use CompatiblePartners.net search is to search by username or search by city and then out of your matches you will be shown who fits that criteria. However, on the app, you cannot search at all as the right seems to be reserved solely for the desktop site.
Messaging on the site is a simple but limited process, much like searching. If you are wondering how to message someone on the site then you all you need to do is click on their profile and click the message button located on the main banner and from there you will be redirected to the message tab on the site. Super easy but you can’t really send anything interesting if you haven’t paid for one of the upgraded packages.
Here is where another issue seems to occur as you can’t seem to be able to delete an account. Even when checking all over the site page and in the settings, there doesn’t seem to be an option for it. As well as this when you go onto the help center page and ask how to cancel CompatiblePartners.net subscription/account, there seems to be no option. So, unfortunately, when you have signed up that’s it and you seem to be committed to that forever!
In conclusion, CompatiblePartners.net as a whole is a very good website which is modern, smooth, well-designed and easy to use. Along with its impeccable features such as the compatibility statistics, it makes the hunt for love a logical process and easier than ever before. Although, I do not appreciate or like the idea that to even see the pictures of your matches you have to pay for a subscription. This seems a little harsh considering it hinders your ability to appropriately decide if you want to commit to paying the company money. However, the pros seem to outweigh the cons and as a result, makes the site worth the time if you’re seriously trying to find love in your area. So go check it out and see how you feel, taking into consideration all of the things I have told you in this review of CompatiblePartners.net.
