The registration process is relatively simple and matches those of other sites (for example name, age, gender and email address). The member login is located at the top of the page and is pretty explicit, but you can also click the link located just beneath the login to create an account. Fusion101 doesn’t seem to have an app on the iOS store so I cannot comment on the mobile login, however, the chances are that if they did have an app it would be as simple as the desktop site.
Now the details needed to create a profile are pretty extensive but they shouldn’t take you too long. The most time consuming of this is a section that asks you for 21 details about yourself and are things such as eye colour, drinking habits (if any) and your personality type. These profile questions are typical of a dating site so they shouldn’t throw you off too much. If you want to upload a photo to your dating profile you will have to do that once your account has been approved and that alone can take around 3 days to get authorised.
Fusion101 runs independently so they do not actually have an exclusive membership or a subscription that you can pay for. However, you can donate to the man who runs the site and he only asks for £1 which seems incredibly reasonable if that is his only income for the dating website.
If you are wondering how to search on fusion101 then all you need to do is click the magnifying glass icon located in the top right-hand corner. From there the only refinement they ask for is gender, age and country. You can’t seem to be able to search profile or for usernames so once you come across someone you like to make sure you ‘favourite’ their profile! Moving on to how to message someone then you might be a little bit disappointed as the messaging system leaves something to be desired. When you find a profile of someone you like and you want to message them, then you need to hit the email button. When they say email, they really mean email. You are redirected to another part of the dating site that allows you to fill out a subject bar and then you have to construct the message. The reason this isn’t an amazing way to do it is that it adds a whole new layer of pressure to messaging on a dating site and makes it feel a lot more impersonal. You shouldn’t judge the site on this feature, however, be aware of it and do not expect a communication system like Facebook.
If you are wondering how to cancel your fusion101 account then you will be pleased to know that it is incredibly easy to do and will be done before you know it! Simply click on the settings icon located in the top right-hand corner of the website, then from there click the link that says ‘Deactivate profile’. From there you will be given four options: ‘hide profile’, ‘make profile social’, ‘deactivate profile’ and ‘close my account’. If you want a clean break and you no longer want your account in any form then you want to click ‘Close my account’. You are then given a time and date that it will close and then you can no longer recover it. The multiple options when closing your account really works in the website favour, as you don’t always want to close off your account completely but you do need a break. The fact that they give you this option is unlike any other dating app!
Fusion101 overall is a very good dating site and really caters to their demographic. They may be stuck on the past a little bit and the website may be a little dated but with manpower of just one you can’t help but feel a little bit impressed with the response time. Not to mention the fact that the person who does run it isn’t after your money and only asks for a small donation if you can spare it. If you are a single Christian and you want a safe and friendly platform to meet other Christian singles then I think this is one of your best options!
