Creation of a Profile
It's easy to create a profile, and the profile questions come under four headings – appearance, lifestyle, background, and faith. The preliminary queries follow a straightforward sequence asking about height, hair color and build, before going on to more detailed dating profile inquiries such as whether or not you have piercings, and if you have tattoos. You are asked if you are free to marry in a Catholic church, how often you attend Mass, whether or not you have ever considered becoming a priest or nun, as well as how important your faith is to you. The latter is nuanced to give you a reasonable spread of options, from ‘my faith is part of my daily life', to ‘I consider myself Catholic, but not always practicing,' to ‘Get to know me first.'
Further background questions ask if you have any children, and who was responsible for your own parenting as you were growing up, how close you are to your family and where you fall in relation to siblings. Did you grow up in a city, small town or rural setting, and how many kids would you like. Political views, from very conservative to very liberal. Education level. Employment status. Night owl or an early bird. How often do you exercise? Diet. Smoking. Drinking. TV viewing.
How do you feel about long-distance relationships? Eucharist. Contraception. Sanctity of life. Papal infallibility. Premarital sex. Holy Orders. Describe yourself. Hobbies – extensive list. Favorite saints and devotions. Favorite cuisine. Favorite TV shows and actors. Music. Reading. Sports. Travel.
